Thanks for this Michael and I agree with the loss. I do think however, a bit part of the loss in losing a loved one is also for the loss of what will never be allowed to exist. My mom died and it was a dream of hers to have grandchildren. I have 2 young boys now, ages 5 and 2, and much of my sadness around her death is that her physical (in person, touch, etc) relationship with my children will never truly exist in that manner. So perhaps there are some similar aspects as well. Just adding that context, thanks for reading.
